Teenager airlifted after being thrown from vehicle

UPDATE: A 16-YEAR-OLD boy will be airlifted from Dalby Hospital after being thrown from a vehicle in a crash on Ducklo School Rd.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said the boy suffered a possible fractured pelvis and possible fractured shoulder in the crash about 1.07pm.  

Meanwhile, the Rescue 500 helicopter has been called to help extricate a man suffering from dehydration in bushland in the Lockyer Valley.  

Crews were called to assist the man, who was riding motorbikes in country inaccessible to regular vehicles, at 12.59pm.  

The ambulance spokesman said the man was riding in forestry near Millers Rd, north of Gatton.   Firefighters, police and State Emergency Service volunteers have been called to assist.  

EARLIER: A person has been ejected from the vehicle in which he was travelling after it overturned on Ducklo School Rd on the Western Downs.  

Emergency services were called to the Ducklo scene at 1.07pm.  

It came after two vehicles collided at 12.34pm on the Moonie Hwy, also at Ducklo.  

The crash occurred near the front of the Wilkie Ck Rural Fire Brigade station.  

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said a child with possible chest injuries and two other people with minor injuries were taken to Dalby Hospital.
