Mackay’s home grown country talent releases new song

SHE just announced a tour last week, and now our homegrown talent Brittany Elise has released her third song for the year.

The track comes from Brittany’s debut album Something More and follows singles Another Day, which debuted at number three on the iTunes Country Singles chart, and Something More, which debuted at Number 9 on the AMRAP Australian Regional Airplay Chart, and November 15 on the iTunes Country Singles chart.

Brittany said Pit Stop was written about trust and honesty in a relationship.

“It’s about recognising that even though something was once great, things can change, and you always need to know your self-worth and prioritise it,” she said.

The new track launched with a music video that was produced and directed by The Filmery, a studio that has connections with the likes of Kasey Chambers and Sara Stoner.

“It was extremely fun working with The Filmery,” said Brittany, “and we bounced off ideas to capture the storyline and theme of being in a car pit stop.”

Filmed in Harrisville, Queensland, Brittany said it was the perfect place to reflect on a relationship.

“Every strong relationship is built on trust and honesty, but once broken it’s hard to let go, especially when you see the person at every turn in your life. I think it’s important to learn from those experiences and be strong enough to go your own way,” she said.

The musical powerhouse also has been short-listed as a finalist for the Patti McKinnon Up and Coming Artist award at the independent Country Music Awards of Australia.
