THREE boys involved in a  high speed chase through Logan and South Brisbane have been charged.

Police will allege around 12.30pm a stolen vehicle was sighted on Hickory Street at Crestmead before it evaded police and travelled at high speed.

Police did not pursue the vehicle, however, Polair tracked it and coordinated with officers on the ground.

The vehicle continued to be driven dangerously, travelling through red lights, on the wrong side of the road and at one stage onto a footpath.

It was driven at high speed on the Logan and Ipswich motorways before being tracked to Parkinson where police successfully deployed a tyre deflation device on Wallum Drive.

A 16-year-old boy has been charged with one count each of dangerous operation of a vehicle, unlawful use of a motor vehicle and driving of a motor vehicle without a driver licence.

Two 14-year-old boys have also been charged with one count each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

All three boys will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justices Act.
