LOCKYER Valley Toyota has claimed the President’s Award for Excellence.
The award was presented to dealer principal Ian O’Brien an his team on Friday night by Toyota president Dave Buttner.
Mr O’Brien said the award was very difficult to win.
“There’s 12 criteria to the award and about 38 components underneath that,” he said.
The business was awarded the northern region rural dealer of the year before winning the presidents award – chosen from both metro and rural dealers.”
Mr O’Brien said the business had won a president’s award prior but under the business name of John O’Brien Toyota.
“Since the name change, the criteria has changed and it’s a bit harder to get now,” he said.
“The award gives the staff a boost... and they love seeing the president,” Mr O’Brien said.
Besides selling cars and looking after customers, Mr O’Brien said there was plenty going on at Lockyer Valley Toyota.
”We’ve changed plenty of things over the years, there’s been a change of philosophy and we’ve a very changing business,” Mr O’Brien said.
