LNP vows 5000 new car parks for SEQ bus, train stations
THE LNP will deliver 5000 new car parks at bus and train stations across south east Queensland, Premier Campbell Newman announced this afternoon.
Speaking at a $250 per head donor's dinner Mr Newman said the facilities would take cars off south east roads.
He announced the government would also support the Gold Coast light rail second stage and the Brisbane BaT Tunnel.
Mr Newman said the new car parks would "make it easier for south-east Queenslanders to get to and from work".
Despite announcing his support for the Gold Coast light rail extension Mr Newman said the government was still looking at how to "get costs down".
While he said in a statement the plan was fully costed and funded Mr Newman did not announce how the LNP would be paying for the projects - which did not appear in the party's costing announced on Tuesday.
