Lleyton Hewitt's home for sale - take a look inside

WHAT do international tennis stars expect when they buy a new house?

Judging by Lleyton Hewitt's standards, the answer is a fair bit.

A home owned by the Aussie sporting hero is on the market and being advertised on realestate.com.au

Hewitt reportedly bought the West Lakes home in 2003 for $3.2 million and had left it vacant after living there for a short time.

The asking price of the home now is not revealed on the site.

Harcourts Aqua agent Steve von der Borch said the home had been on the market before but had been marketed on private basis, with no photos on the internet.

"We're placing a big focus on the overseas market this time, so allowing people to see images of the home is important," Mr von der Borch said.

The listing went online yesterday and is already attracting interest, with inspections scheduled this weekend.

The listing features a glowing report of the property, describing it as an incredible home possessing the atmosphere and continuity of an exotic six star hotel with a location to match.

"Most notably an expansive glass roof forms a tremendous skylight and window to the heavens suspended some 14 metres above heated floor of the 'Great Hall', the listing says.

"This theme is continued with the extensive use of enormous plate glass panels as wall elements for living and bedrooms. Similarly the easily accessible indoor lap pool, spa and sauna area is open to the sky.

"A grand and sweeping staircase rises amidst a rock wall and waterfall leading to suspended walkways that overlook the living and entertaining areas at the beautiful heart of the home. "
