Labor-Greens alliance likely to win ACT election

A LABOR-Greens alliance was likely to form a minority government in the Australian Capital Territory after an unclear result in Saturday's territory elections.

The election saw the Green's reduced from holding four seats to two, while the Liberal party won its largest vote in the territory's history.

But at vote count late on Sunday, it seemed the Liberal's had only secured eight of the 17 seats, with the Greens on two seats and Labor holding seven seats.

The final count was not yet complete before deadline on Sunday.
