THE Broncos have suffered a massive blow, with Korbin Sims ruled out for the season with a broken arm.

The Courier-Mail reports that the Brisbane prop hurt his right forearm in Thursday's shock 52-34 loss to Parramatta, but Broncos medical staff originally hoped it was just a deep muscle bruise.

However, scans revealed Sims had fractured his arm. He was to undergo surgery on Friday.

The injury means Sims will not play again for the Broncos this season, which is a big blow to their finals hopes.
