Kings of Movember
FOR the fifth year running, the men at Withcott Seedlings have been growing and grooming their facial hair for a good cause.
The entire staff at Withcott Seedlings have been sprouting 'soup strainers' to show their support for Movember.
Proceeds from the staff Melbourne Cup Sweep and a Movember lunch were added to those raised at the inaugural Movember Golf day at the Helidon Spa Golf Course.
This year, the team has raised just over $560 towards men's health, prostate cancer and beyondblue.
The golf day, which is open to any individual or workplace to join, is already being planned for next year so it becomes a regular event in the Movember calendar.
"It's great to be part of a tremendous team effort," operations manager (and fellow Mo Bro) Darren Wood said.
"The staff have shown their enthusiasm for such a good cause.
"It has been a movement that started from within the staff rather than as a directive from management and has been supported extremely well."
"Events such as Movember boost the team culture in the workplace," managing director Graham Erhart said.
"A positive workplace culture has a direct impact on improved productivity and quality of the plants we supply our growers, because the staff care about what they do."
