NORTH Melbourne forward Ben Brown has been rewarded for his emergence as one of the league's brightest young key forwards, re-signing with the Kangaroos.
Already tied to a contract for 2018, Brown has signed a two-year contract extension with North Melbourne that is set to take him through to the end of the 2020 season.
The 24-year-old Brown finished third in the Coleman Medal this year, kicking a career-best 63 goals to earn his place in the 40-man All-Australian squad.
"North was really keen to keep me on and I was really keen to stay," Brown said.
"There was a lot of external noise, but I never really considered (leaving). I'm really happy at North Melbourne and I'm really looking forward to staying around for a few more years.
"It's a really exciting time for us. We've got young kids coming through and the next couple of years I think we should really be pushing up the ladder.
"I'm really looking forward to being part of that."
Brown has played 77 games for North Melbourne since being recruited to the club with pick 47 in the 2013 national draft, kicking 154 goals.
