Juve wins again to stretch Serie A lead
A 2-0 win over Empoli has stretched Juventus' record number of consecutive home victories in Serie A to 30.
The victory increased the "Old Lady's" lead at the top of the ladder to 10 points, firming the Turin outfit as favourite for a sixth straight league crown in Italy.
Roma had the chance to narrow the gap at the top of Serie A last night.
Lukasz Skorupski bundled into his own net after Mario Mandzukic's header struck the bar shortly after half-time to give Juve the lead.
Massimiliano Allegri's team then missed a number of chances before the break but eventually sealed the three points when Alex Sandro's shot nestled into the corner of the net.
Juve, is on course to win a third consecutive league and cup double and last dropped points at home in the league in a 1-1 draw with Frosinone in September 2015.
The team has not lost at Juventus Stadium in the league since the opening day of the 2015-16 season when it was beaten by Udinese.
