THE Bundaberg Distilling Company has received worldwide recognition for its new limited edition premium rum, the 10-Year-Old Rum Master Distillers' Collection, winning a silver medal at the 2011 International Wine and Spirits Competition.

Bundaberg Distilling Company brand director Matt Bruhn said the win was testament to the taste and quality of the 10-year-old rum.

“This is the first international award win in the company's history and we are extremely proud that it was for the Master Distillers' Collection,” he said.

“A decade in the making and finished in a small oak vat, the rum has a great strength of character and a unique smoothness. Positive feedback from customers has been immense with almost everyone rating it very highly.”
