Jesse Ryder awake but can't remember attack

AFTER three days in an induced coma, New Zealand star batsman Jesse Ryder is awake.

Ryder has no recollection of the attack outside a Christchurch bar early on Thursday morning.

The attack left him with life-threatening head and internal injuries.

Two men, who are related, aged 20 and 37, have been charged with assault.
