Italy to hear our angels sing

IT was almost two years ago that the Esk Community Choir entertained Christmas revellers across the winter wonderland that was Germany and Prague.

Since then they have endured the loss of their Lyceum Hall and all their equipment through fire and a deluge of flooding rains through their town of Esk and surrounding districts but neither fire nor flood have been able to extinguish the spirit of this choir.

With the faith, inspiration and perspiration of their Director, Alexis Fitzgerald, a group of 22 singers with twelve months of dedicated rehearsals under their belts, and under the banner of the Esk Community Choir, will once again be embarking upon an opportunity to further the Choir's international reputation, this time amid the passion and romance of Italy.

However, the Italians will not be the only ones privileged to be entertained by this Choir's repertoire of sacred, secular, operatic and some top Aussie songs.

At the Alexandra Hall, Toogoolawah on Friday, March 25, Choir Italia will be performing a selection of their repertoire.

This will be a night of amazing delight, not to be missed.

Come along, enjoy this wonderful evening of joie de vivre, music to stir the soul and touch the heart, and some light refreshments afterwards.

Tickets may be purchased at the door. Enquiries can be made through Alexis on 5424 1460.
