Invitation for growers to attend

PEAK horticulture body Growcom invites horticulture growers to attend informal information meetings in the Lockyer Valley next week.

The organisation will be among a number of community groups represented at the meetings.

Chief Executive Officer Alex Livingstone congratulated State Member for Lockyer, Ian Rickuss, for organising the meetings.

“The meetings are designed to be an opportunity for informal networking while also being a place where growers can obtain specific information relevant to their own circumstances about assistance available after the Queensland floods,” Mr Livingstone said.

“Growcom's Land and Water Manager Scott Wallace will represent Growcom at the meetings.

“We have had discussions with a number of growers in recent weeks but this will be an opportunity for people to talk face to face about issues that most concern them.”

The meetings will be held at the following dates, times and venues:

Tuesday, March 1, 5-7pm – Lowood Showgrounds, Station St, Lowood.

Thursday, March 3, 5-7pm – Mulgowie Hall, Gatton-Laidley Road, Laidley.

Tuesday, March 15, 5-7pm – Glenore Grove Hall, Glenore Grove.

Thursday, March 17, 5-7pm – Ma Ma Creek Hall, Ma Ma Creek.
