‘I’ll get that man’: White vows revenge on Preston
MARCO Pierre White has sensationally revealed the angry celebrity feud which sparked his sudden defection from MasterChef to new rival show Hell's Kitchen.
According to Adelaide Now, the British chef told Channel 10 newsreader Rebecca Morse he had left Channel 10's hit series and joined Seven after "disgraceful" comments were made by his ex-colleague, Matt Preston, about his 22-year-old son, Marco Pierre White Junior.
"The things he said about my son in the British press were disgraceful," he said. "No one should ever say that about someone else's children. I will never forgive that man."
White added that Preston was a "canary in the coalmine" and vowed revenge on him, claiming "with my hand on my mother's grave I will get that man''.
The bitter rift appears to have been sparked by an interview with Preston on the Kyle and Jackie O Show, during which he suggested Pierre White Jr was off the rails.
"I think it is that terrible thing when you have kids that go off the rails, how do you deal with it?" he told the radio hosts.
"I don't know. I don't think Marco has a solution, I don't think anyone has a solution."
It followed scenes airing on Celebrity Big Brother UK during which the chef's son allegedly had sex on camera with a fellow housemate.
Later, Preston suggested Pierre White Jr was involved with drugs.
"I think there is absolutely nothing wrong with your children having a highly evolved social life but I think the drugs might be a little bit of a worry," he said.
Responding to White's tirade this weekend, Preston attempted to diffuse the situation.
"I have the greatest respect for Marco Pierre White having had a professional relationship with Marco for the past five years," he said. "Marco has already reached out to me to organise a sit down to clear the air."
