HUGH Grant's family situation just got a whole lot more complicated.
For decades, Hugh Grant personified bachelorhood. Like some sort of Hugh Hefner-esque throwback, with a devilish twinkle in his eye, he crisscrossed continents, adroitly avoiding anything that even vaguely resembled commitment.
And then a few years ago, in the space of 15 months, he went from Single Man Number One to a father of three children. Three children to two women that is.
Let's back the truck up here.
In 2011 it was announced that London receptionist Tinglan Hong was pregnant with the star's first child. Their daughter Tabitha was born in September of that year. In a statement, his publicist said that Grant and Hong were no longer together and the duo had had a "fleeting affair".
Only a year later, in September 2012, Grant welcomed his second child, a son named John, with Swedish TV producer Anna Eberstein.
However, here's where things get, uh, tricky.
Only three months after that, Hong gave birth to a second child with the actor, meaning that both she and Eberstein would have been pregnant at the same time.

At that time he took to Twitter, posting: "Am thrilled my daughter now has a brother. Adore them both to an uncool degree. They have a fab mum."
Fast forward to 2015 and news broke that Eberstein and Grant had had another child, a daughter.
However, around this time it was reported that the couple had split.
Which obviously didn't last because the pair were later photographed and subsequently have fronted a number of red carpet events together.
This month, news broke that Eberstein was pregnant with baby number three.
We have so many questions about all of this, such as, what is Hong and Eberstein's relationship like? Is it all happy families at Christmas with children gambolling about the place as Grant paternalistically chortles and drinks tea? And how is Grant faring given he has gone from living a sublimely selfish life to being a father of five in a matter of years?
