
Family of five's house ‘absolutely engulfed’ by fire
A HOUSE was destroyed by fire in Redland Bay this afternoon.
A Queensland Fire and Emergency Services spokeswoman said the property was “absolutely engulfed� when crews arrived at the Outridge St home.
Emergency Services were were called to the blaze about 3.15pm and by 4.40pm the blaze was put out.
Five fire crews were on the scene.
It is believed the house was occupied by a family of five and nobody was inside when the blaze started.
No one required transport to hospital, although one person, whose age and gender is unknown, was treated on the scene for shock.
Fire crews left the scene at 5.30pm, however fire investigators remain at the property.
