Hot conditions for sharp shooters

HOT and humid conditions greeted shooters at Toogoolawah for the Ray White Rural Toogoolawah Classic.

A fantastic day was had by all those who attended with competitors travelling from Toowoomba, Caboolture, Gold Coast, Brisbane and surrounding areas.

Sponsor for the day was Ray White Rural Toogoolawah represented by Tim Collins who is a member of the TCTC.

One 100 target event was held for the day consisting of 50 targets double barrel and 50 targets double barrel points in four visits to the trap.

This gave shooters the opportunity to score up to 200 points.

Prizes were awarded for first and second in each grade.

Toogoolawah Clay Target Club would like to thank Tim and Mark Collins of Ray White Rural Toogoolawah for sponsoring the event.

On Sunday, November 28 the Toogoolawah Clay Target Club is having an open day starting at 10am.

This is a great opportunity for you to try a sport that is not very easily accessible for the general public due to firearm laws.

The day will start with a general firearms safety awareness session and a how to session, you will then be taken out on the shooting grounds with a club member to have a go at this fantastic sport.

The grounds are located within the Toogoolawah Showgrounds on Ivory Creek Rd, Toogoolawah.

The cost will be $20 for 25 targets and a box of 25 shot shells allowing you to have one shell per target.

Licensed shooters will be onsite to assist people on the day.

Lunch (snags on bread) and drinks will be available.
