Grand Central announces new major retailer

TOOWOOMBA fashion fanatics and style connoisseurs will be happy to know Swedish fast fashion house H&M is coming to the Grand Central expansion.

H&M is one of the world's largest fashion retailers, known for offering high fashion and quality basics at affordable prices.

Toowoomba will be Queensland's fifth store and will be the first time the retailer has ventured out of Australian metropolitan areas.

Grand Central centre manager Shaine Beveridge said he was thrilled to welcome H&M to the shopping centre.

"Today's announcement by H&M is testimony to the strength of the development and is a big vote of confidence in Toowoomba as a regional hub," he said.

"Toowoomba will now have this iconic international retailer on its doorstep when H&M opens its doors as part of stage one of our development later this year.

"It's just the fifth store to open in Queensland and we are sure it's going to be a source of much excitement for the community."

H&M arrived in Australia two years ago with the opening of its inaugural store in Melbourne's former GPO.
