THE Gatton Hawks conquered the toughest road trip in the TRL on Sunday with an important come-from-behind win against the Goondiwindi Boars.
Despite trailing 22-8 at half-time, the Hawks rallied in the second half to come away from Gilbert Oval with the two points, taking the game 38-32.
Goondiwindi led Gatton for most of the game before Chris Muckert's third try in the 74th minute put the Hawks in front for the first time in the game.
Mark Swan received player's player while Dom Haak led from the front all game and was one of Gatton's best.
The win sees the Hawks regain fifth spot on the TRL ladder, joining Goondiwindi on 15 points with three teams on 14, showing the importance of Gatton's win against the Boars.

Gatton's Reserve Grade side tried hard all day against a Goondiwindi team which looks finals bound.
Despite being short on numbers the Hawks toughed it out and were eventually beaten 46-26 by the Boars.
