Hasler stood down
DES Hasler's time with Manly appears to be over with the two-time NRL premiership-winning coach stood down and ordered to front the Sea Eagles board over alleged breaches of contract.
Hasler, who last month agreed to a four-year deal to coach Canterbury from 2013, was issued with a breach notice for what Manly chairman Scott Penn described as "serious breaches of contract."
It came after a seven-hour meeting of board members at Manly Leagues Club on Wednesday night.
The board last month decided Hasler would stay on to coach the side during the title defence in 2012.
But there appears little chance of that occurring as the dramatic implosion following their grand final triumph shows little sign of slowing down.
