HAS one of Campbell Newman's ministers accidentally let slip when the next election will be held?

Lambasting Labor for their lack of policy announcements, Arts Minister Ian Walker inferred they were running out of time.

"We are a couple of days into December...the election is early next year," he said on Fairfax Radio 4BC Mornings.

Previously, the government has stuck to the line that the election could be held any time up until June 20 next year.

"Well, sometime in the early part of next year. Sometime before the 20th June next year," he qualified when pressed.
