Gold milestone

LAURIE and Evelyn Kammholz celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on October 14 at a function with their three children, seven grandchildren and many other family and friends in Lowood.

Laurie and Evelyn were married at the Mondure Lutheran Church in 1961.

The couple have lived at their Coominya property for most of their married life.

Laurie and Evelyn used to grow potatoes, pumpkins, onions, garlic, lucerne and grain crops. Later they moved into the operations of a sand and gravel business, which still operates today.

Laurie and Evelyn have become prominent members in their community assisting with the Coominya Hall Committee, Rural Fire Brigade, schools, festivals, Christmas street carnivals and the Lowood Lutheran Church.
