Suicide victim's page trashed

A TEENAGE girl who committed suicide has been attacked in tribute pages on Facebook.

The 14-year-old reportedly moved with her family to Caloundra four months ago while she was a student at Crestwood High School in Sydney.

A tribute page was created for the teenager after she took her life earlier this week.

That page, and many others that were created for the girl, have been flooded with horrid and disrespectful posts.

Many make jokes about committing suicide and most are too vulgar to publish.

The disgraceful attacks on the tribute page have stunned her family and friends already mourning her death.

More to come in tomorrow's Sunshine Coast Daily.

Anyone needing support or information about suicide prevention should contact Lifeline on 13 11 14 and for those affected by suicide, please contact StandBy Response Service on 0407 766 961.
