Gatton Turn to the State Titles

IT was perfect conditions for racing on Saturday when more than 270 swimmers turned out at the Gatton Pool for the Multi-Distance Carnival.
Representatives from about 40 different clubs across the south-east of the state were present which equated to 1300 total nominations.
Some even made it from Albany Creek to Ferny Hills swimming distances from 50m to 1500m.
This was the last chance for local athletes to qualify for the States at Chandler Pool on December 11, and some swimmers came home with a swag of medals.
A few swimmers from the Gatton club made it to the week-long championships as well as a few medals to add to their collection.
