Gatton juniors rundown

HERE are the results from the Gatton Junior Rugby League Club for the past week. On Saturday Gatton played Newtown.

U7: big tackles by Noah Jackson and Chase Hoger paved the way for some exciting running and try scoring by Alex Willmett and Nathan Kelidon.

Great games by Jack Oberthur, Kaden Buhde and Jaiman Jones. Well done to all the team.

U8: great game by the boys. Some great running onto the ball and good goal kicking.

U9: great second half by the boys.

Top performances by Dylan White, Andrew Krenske, Nathan Tomlinson and Liam Tillack.

Tries to Luke Davies, Jordan Revell-Cook, Liam Tillack. Player of the match to Luke Davies.

U10: the boys had slow start in the first half but came back strong in the second half.

Man of the match went to most consecutive tackles by Jamie Johnson.

U11: win to Newtown. Try to Dylan Webb and conversion to Bailey Dalgleish.

Final score 36-6 to Newtown.

U12: thanks to Newtown for the game.

Defence let the Hawks down.

The boys need to remember that it’s a team game and they need to play as a team.

Man of the Match went to Ryley Schreiber.

U13: these boys just keep getting better each week.

In the past three weeks the Hawks have improved out of sight and were very unlucky not to come away with the win on Saturday.

Well done boys and the Player of the Match went to Benny Ryan.

U14: a poor start again cost the Hawks of any opportunity to win the game.

The team needs to play the whole game with the same intensity as it does in the second half.

The boys need to start this week at training by doing what the coach asks and going forward.

With this commitment, the side will be in the finals at the end of the season.

U16: the side played Pittsworth and a great first half set up the win for the Hawks against a very committed Danes side.

The Hawks learnt today that footy is a game of two halves. Man of the Match was Chris Bachmann.
