Gatton Christmas Carnival postponed

Gatton will have to wait to celebrate the festive spirit in town, with the Christmas Carnival postponed until next week.

Lockyer Valley Regional Council said the carnival, originally scheduled for tomorrow, had been rescheduled due to expected bad weather.

It will instead be held on Friday, December 19.

LVRC said heavy rainfall was expected within concentrated belts around Gatton on Thursday and postponing the carnival was in the best interests of public safety.

They said at this stage, they had been able to secure the majority of the original entertainment line-up, including children's rides.
