Gambling addicted carer found guilty of murder

A CARER who fed an elderly man a deadly dose of drugs after stealing his money to fund her gambling addiction, has been found guilty of murder.

The NSW Supreme Court heard Kerry Forrest, 54, killed 84-year-old Bill Adamson in a hotel room at Campbelltown in April, 2010 and tried to tell his family he died of natural causes.

The Herald reported Forrest was attempting to cover up her misuse of Mr Adamson's money.

She will be sentenced at a later date.
