THE crowd roared as show society president Keith Edwards was hurtled towards a flaming wall, tightly gripping to the bull bar of a car.
Knuckles white, the president held on as pyrotechnics threw more fuel onto the fire just before the car reached the flames.
Mr Edwards was driven through the flames, making it to the other side as the crowd went wild – creating a ‘must see’ part of the Gatton Show evening entertainment.
“Honestly it was unbelievable, you hit it so quick and there was flames everywhere,” he said.
Despite patron numbers down across the show, Mr Edwards said the spirits were high at the Gatton Show.
“I just wanted to do something for the show that was a bit different,” he said.
“We’re grateful for the patrons who came out to the show, despite the weather.”
