Gagai cleared to play for Queensland

RUGBY LEAGUE: Former Mackay junior player Dane Gagai has been cleared and will play for Queensland in State of Orgin game two on Wednesday night.

"I had doubts at the start that I wouldn't play," he said.

"Obviously it would have been a tough decision if I had to pull out. I am fortunate we have some great physios here."

Gagai stated he is moving freely and is able to run at a decent pace and is looking forward to being back on the field for the Maroons.

"I'm just excited for Wednesday and to get out there to do a good job for Queensland," he said.
