AFTER shooting one of the rounds of his life last Monday, Peregian Beach big hitter Steven Bowditch is primed for the Canadian Open.

The 28-year-old (pictured) reminded us of his potential by carding an astonishing 10-under 62 in the final round of the Viking Classic at Madison. He rocketed 47 places up the leaderboard to finish in a tie for 18th place on 15-under, seven strokes behind victorious American Chris Kirk.

Bowditch will vie for a share of the $5.2 million prizemoney at Vancouver.
