TERRENCE (TERRY) O'SULLIVAN is presented with an award by the Member for Lockyer, Ian Rickuss, for 50 years of service as a Justice of the Peace.

Five decades of Justice

IAN Rickuss MP, Member for Lockyer said it was a pleasure to be able to present a Justice of the Peace 50 years' service award to Terrence (Terry) O'Sullivan.

Terry retired some years ago, previously working as a Clerk of the Courts and living in communities all over Queensland including Mount Isa, Mitchell, Millmerran and the last being Gatton.

Terry has met some very interesting people in his role as a Justice of the Peace and offer a community service to those who require the authorisation of documents and the service of a JP.

Mr Rickuss said the role of volunteers in the community is very important and it is wonderful to recognise someone such as Terry who has assisted the public in this way for such a large number of years.

It is to be commended that Terry continues to work and assist the community as a JP along with his long involvement with St Vincent De Paul Society and St Mary's Parish.
