Bruce Highway delays after truck, car collision
TRAFFIC is still slow southbound on the Bruce after a car collided with the back of a truck at Coochin Creek.
A police media spokesman said the crash was cleared but flow on effects were causing traffic headaches.
Firefighters said they worked for 20 minutes to free the man from his vehicle.
A Queensland Ambulance spokeswoman said a 20-year-old man was transported to the Royal Brisbane Hospital in a stable condition with lower leg fractures.
FIREFIGHTERS are working to free a man from his car after a rear end collision with a truck on the Bruce Highway this morning.
The two vehicles crashed in the southbound lanes at Coochin Creek, just after 6am, trapping the car driver inside.
The crash occurred not far from the Johnston Rd overpass. Traffic control is in place.
Firefighters are on scene working to free the man with hydraulic cutting equipment.
Paramedics are treating the man, who has leg injuries until he can be removed from the car.
It is believed he could have a broken leg.
