Fashion lovers support tsunami victims

Tagan Williams

GOLD Coast fashion lovers came together on Friday night to support victims of the Japanese tsunami and earthquake disaster.

The Fashion Against Disaster event took place at Temple Bar in Surfers Paradise.

Models took to the catwalk to showcase the latest trends by Gold Coast designers, while The Sakura Dance Team enthralled the audience with exquisite traditional dancers.

A silent auction of goods donated by Gold Coast business houses and designers also helped to raise much needed funds for cause.

All proceeds raised were donated to victims in Japan via Care Australia.
