Families, get on your bikes...

ON June 19, one of the best family days out in the calendar, the annual Gatton Kindergarten bike-a-thon and fete is on again.

The event begins at 9.30am with the children from Gatton Kindergarten riding their bikes, scooters and other devices up and down the main street, displaying signs on their bikes of businesses who have kindly made a donation.

After that it's back to the Gatton State School's bottom oval for its biggest ever fete.

Amanda Whiting, Vice President of the Gatton Kindergarten, said there will be entertainment in the form of horse/cart rides, face painting, animal farm, lucky number stalls, lucky dips, merry-go-round, ball pits, sausage sizzle, drinks, homemade cakes tea/coffee scones and slices.

“There will be enough food to chase all hunger pains away, a giant slide, free activities, jumping castles, fairy floss, snow cones and too much to mention,” she said.

“We invite everyone to come along to this exciting event to revisit people they spent with or to see for the first time why Gatton Kindergarten has risen over the last 55 years to become a centre of excellence in early childhood education in Queensland.”

Arm bands can be pre-purchased for $15 by contacting Amanda Whiting on 5462 5402 0407 165 345 or on the day single rides are available as well.
