Esk man airlifted

A MAN who was run over by a tractor on a property in Esk is in a serious condition.

The 38-year-old man was airlifted to the Princess Alexandra Hospital last Thursday.

RACQ CareFlight Air Crewman Graham Nickisson said the accident was very serious with the tractor rolling over the patient's chest.

“He suffered some cracked ribs, as well as some serious respiratory tract and lung injuries,” he said.

“We landed at the property because he needed emergency medical care urgently.

“We airlifted him to the PA Hospital in a serious but stable condition,” he said.

Investigations into the cause of the accident are being carried out.
