UPDATE: Pedestrian dies after hit by car in Hervey Bay

UPDATE: AN ELDERLY man has died from injuries he suffered after he was hit by a car in Torquay on Monday.

The 82-year-old Hervey Bay man was crossing Bideford St about 6pm, when he was hit by a car travelling south.

He was transported to Hervey Bay Hospital after the incident but died Wednesday morning.

The female driver of the car was not physically injured in the incident.

Investigations are continuing.


ON MONDAY: AN ELDERLY man who was hit by a car in Hervey Bay suffered fractures to his arms and legs.

The vehicle struck the 82-year-old was on the corner of Bideford and Exeter Sts about 6pm on Monday.

He was taken to Hervey Bay Hospital.

Traffic is back to normal at site of accident.
