Eight guns and tools to make ammo stolen in break-in

POLICE are appealing for help after thieves stole eight guns and the tools to make ammunition for them.

Police said the thieves broke into a property at Legume, near the Queensland border between Kyogle and Warwick, some time between Friday, October 24 and Monday, November 3.

While there, the thieves broke into a gun safe, making off with eight firearms, an unknown quantity of gunpowder and a cartridge press.

Police have asked for anyone with information about the break-in or who may have seen something suspicious at Acacia Street, Legume, between October 24 and November 3 to phone Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
