Dutch star rubs it in for Gunners by breaking unbeaten run

MANCHESTER United striker Robin van Persie ended the 15-game unbeaten run away from home in all competitions by his former club Arsenal after scoring in the 1-0 win at Old Trafford yesterday.

Van Persie (pictured) scored his seventh league goal of the season after heading home Wayne Rooney's corner in the 27th minute.

Despite the loss, Arsenal remain top, two points clear of Liverpool, while United, the defending champion, move to fifth and five points behind the Gunners.

Manchester City lost 1-0 at second-last Sunderland, a fourth consecutive 1-0 loss at the Stadium of Light.

Elsewhere, Charlie Adam's stoppage-time penalty earned Stoke a 3-3 draw at Swansea after the Welsh side had fought back from 2-0 down at half-time to lead 3-2.

Dutch goalkeeper Tim Krul was Newcastle's hero in the 1-0 win at Spurs after making 14 saves in the game, the most by any keeper in the Premier League this season.
