Drivers dodge flying portaloos

TWO FLYING portaloos have proved a traffic hazard on the M1 this morning.  

The Blue plastic mobile toilets came loose and flew off the back of a truck in the southbound lanes of the Pacific Motorway at Upper Coomera just north of Dreamworld at around 9am.

Southport resident Jay Ingram was driving to Brisbane for work when he saw the incident and said traffic was forced to dodge quickly to avoid the toilets.

  Mr Ingram said it was 'crazy' and described the portaloos as being the size of a small car.  

Drivers heading south are urged to avoid the hazard while it is cleaned up.  

Police will attend the scene to help the truck driver retrieve the portaloos.
