Driver injured in early morning truck roll over

THE driver of a truck which rolled outside Toowoomba early this morning has been taken to hospital.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said it is believed the driver was trying to avoid a cow on the road when his truck rolled on the Gore Hwy near Athol about 1.15am.

The spokesman said the man's injuries were not considered serious.

The highway remains open though the truck was still to be righted.
