Lowood man killed in central Queensland truck rollover

UPDATE: The man that died in a truck crash on the Carnarvon Highway last night was from Lowood.

Queensland Fire and Rescue Service was called to the incident about 8.30pm where a road train with two trailers had rolled.

He was 56-year-old. His family have been notified.

Police are still on the scene this morning.

EARLIER: A truck driver has been killed after his dual trailer vehicle rolled near Injune last night.

A Queensland Ambulance Service spokesman said crews were called to the accident about 8.30pm.

The truck had rolled off the Carnarvon Hwy about 100km north of Injune.

The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, the spokesman said.

Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
