Dogs face euthanasia after viciously mauling a jogger

SUNSHINE Coast Council has seized two dogs after they viciously attacked a man jogging in a Chevallum street.

A local man was repeatedly attacked about 3pm when he fell trying to outrun his neighbours' pet dogs.

The dogs were described as resembling bull mastiffs.

It appears the dogs dashed out from the home at Rainforest Rd about 3pm and headed towards the man aged in his 20s or 30s. He ran down a steep, embankment to flee from the dogs.

The pair repeatedly scratched and bit the man until his fell to the ground. The mauling continued.

"If any members of the public witnessed or have any relevant information regarding the incident please contact council on 5475 7272," a Sunshine Coast Council spokeswoman said.
