Deja vu as car stolen twice from Goodna

A TEENAGER who was involved in stealing the same car from Goodna twice has been jailed.

Shanaye Jaye Tyson, 18, yesterday pleaded guilty to two counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle and one count of stealing.

The court heard on November 7 the Goodna owner of a Toyota Kluger reported the car had been stolen.

Two days later the car was seen being used by three women who stole drinks and confectionary from a NightOwl convenience store in Upper Mt Gravatt.

Tyson and two other perpetrators were identified on CCTV and the car was located in Inala and returned to its owner.

On November 12 the owner of the car again reported it stolen. Less than two hours later it was spotted by police in Goodna who tried to pull it over.

Tyson, who is currently incarcerated, was sentenced to a six-month sentence to be served cumulatively with her existing prison term.
