FORMER Socceroo Jason Culina may be called up for his first game in almost two years as Sydney FC caretaker coach Steve Corica tries to arrest an alarming three-game losing streak.

With his team on the bottom of the ladder, Corica could call on Culina, promising youngster Terry Antonis and defender Adam Griffiths for Friday night's clash against ladder leader Adelaide at Sydney's Allianz Stadium.

Culina has been sidelined since January 2011 after seriously injuring his knee playing for the Socceroos in the Asian Cup.

He has been training at full tilt with the Sky Blues for more than two months.

Sydney has been forced to train at Macquarie University this week to give Allianz Stadium ground staff the chance to get the pitch in good order after last weekend's Coldplay concerts.
