Crocs catch sneaky Kings

THE Townsville Crocodiles have defeated the Sydney Kings 100-93 in an entertaining affair in Sydney on Friday night.

In a game of long-range shooting, Eddie Gill (26 points, 9 assists), Peter Crawford (22 points) and Jacob Holmes (21 points, 11 rebounds) were irresistible from three-point territory and proved the difference.

Gill's experience in the fourth quarter as the Kings threatened to sneak away with the win, was pivotal.

Kings big men Julian Khazzouh (17 points, 13 rebounds, 4 assists, 4 blocks) and Jerai Grant (18 points, 12 rebounds) made their presence felt at both ends, but the Crocs' guards ultimately led them to a hard-fought victory.

It wasn't until a Crawford three-pointer with 90 seconds remaining gave his side a nine-point lead that Townsville secured their sixth win of the year.
