Crews on scene at fire alongside Warrego Hwy

FIREFIGHTING crews are mopping up a fire alongside the Warrego Highway at Plainland.

Emergency services were alerted to the fire at about 4.50pm today (Friday).

Eight appliances are presently on scene along with a senior officer, and the fire has been contained.

The fire is contained, but is on a tricky, hilly terrain next to the highway.

No buildings are under threat.
