Highway re-opened after crash leaves two injured

UPDATE 1pm: The highway has re-opened, QPS media said on social media.


UPDATE 11.45am:

A man involved in a two-vehicle crash on the Bruce Hwy was suffering from chest pain and abrasions on his legs, a woman in her 60s is believed to be suffering from shock, another man involved in the crash has no injures, QAS said.

Paramedics are on scene and still assessing the people involved.

Another crash also occurred near Bowen earlier.

A patient was transported to the Bowen District Hospital in a serious condition after a single vehicle crash on Flemington Rd near Bowen at 10.13am where a driver crashed into a pole.



EARLIER:Emergency services are in attendance after a crash on the Bruce Hwy.

It's believed the highway is blocked in both directions near Jochheim Road intersection.

"Two-vehicle crash, at Bowen at about 11am. Reports the road is blocked in both directions. Injuries unknown at this stage," Queensland Ambulance Service said on social media.

There was also another crash in Bowen earlier that left a man in a critical condition in hospital.
