Crafty skills on show

LOCKYER Valley Artists Inc. members gathered recently at the Laidley Cultural Centre to attend a workshop in acrylics, tutored by professional artist Jenni Kelly.

Jenni, formerly a resident of the Lockyer Valley, moved to Brisbane and is currently tutoring privately at art establishment workshops all over Queensland.

The workshop was made possible through funding from a grant from the Regional Arts Development Fund.

The Regional Arts Development Fund is a Queensland Government (Arts Queensland) and Lockyer Valley Regional Council partnership to support local crafts and culture.

Members did a floral depiction with mixed media techniques and acrylics.

Jenni said that she always looked forward to coming back to the Lockyer Valley and was overwhelmed by the interest members showed.
